Lilly’s Work

Poetry: Lekhan writes spiritual poetry and fiction poetry. Her work is described in more detail in her Author’s Bio on the About Lilly page. Lekhan is the inventor of the Anjou poem, (which will sometimes be released in weekly emails from The Sweetest Art List), which is a form of very short poem in Modern English free verse, named after the Anjou pear. Lekhan combines truth and fiction in her poetry, and embodies a clear sense of a poet being a part of a community–either accepted, stuck there, or quarreling with it. Lekhan believes a poet’s work is usually intricately bound to the community around her, or formed by her time and experiences in that community.

Blog: Lilly is the Poet and Founder of The Sweetest Art List, a poet’s weekly email on music and literature, with her short thoughts on awesome art, and her original poetry. The Sweetest Art List is an arts appreciation website + blog with weekly email, at TheSweetestArtList.com. An annual subscription to the blog includes 52 weekly emails, and a one-year membership providing unlimited access–through a password–to the complete archives. Multiple payment levels are available, and each weekly email reveals the next number on the list, along with the poet’s comments, the release info needed to find the work easily online, and the poet’s recommendations on which versions to enjoy.

Essays: Lekhan will sometimes release her essays for online access here–on the poet’s promotional site–at PromotionalCLillyJLekhan.com. Essays that are 5 pages or less will be $3 for one month of access, and essays that are 5-10 pages will be $7 for one month of access. The essays will be described on the Products page, and available for purchase on the Store page. Permissions and exclusions will be detailed on the Store page. Essays will generally be non-fiction on literature, history, or business aspects connected to either, often with the poet’s personal experiences peppered in. Lekhan’s arts appreciation writings will generally be on her blog site, The Sweetest Art List, at TheSweetestArtList.com.

Genres: Lekhan writes short and very short spiritual poetry, short and book-length fiction poetry, arts appreciation short essays and blurbs, and nonfiction on literature and history.

Contributions: Lekhan is the inventor of the pictograph, which is a pictorial representation of a writer’s full penname.

Recipes: Lilly follows a diet that she calls “Saddhu-Style.” It is a vegan diet, focusing on naturally vegan foods rather than substitute products, that uses minimal nuts and seeds, and that uses fruit-based and rice-based sweeteners instead of sugar. She cheats when eating out or treating herself by eating vegetarian (including eggs, dairy, and honey) and allowing sugar, substitute products, and nuts and seeds. She is called to one day release recipes for this diet, and is currently perfecting some cookie recipes.
